I am currently actively working in the music industry, working as a musical director (primarily for musical theatre), keyboard player, and arranger. I currently teach piano and vocal rep/audition coaching privately. I have recently taught at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, and Music Lessons Anywhere (internatinal online music school.)

I trained as a musical director at The MTA (Musical Theatre Academy) in North London, one of the countries top drama colleges. I also hold a BMus (Hons) Creative Music Technology degree from the University of Surrey, a top 10 higher education establishment for music, studied jazz piano at Birmingham Conservatoire and classical piano to Grade 8 ABRSM (at the age of 16) and beyond.

My experience in theatre as a musical director includes:

As assistant musical director: Around The World In 80 Days (The MTA), Robinson Crusoe (The MTA), Les Miserables (Rhoda McGaw), How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (University of Surrey)

As piano/keyboards: Vanessa-Mae (Concert tour - cover keyboards), Clem Burke (UK Tour - drummer for Blonde), Bye Bye Baby (UK Tour), Marco Polo (The Shaw Theatre, Off-West End), Festival Of Voices (Hackney Empire), Guys & Dolls (Malvern Theatres), Miss Saigon (The Capitol Horsham & Chequer Mead Theatre), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (The Harlequin Theatre), Crazy For You (The Core Theatre), Jesus Christ Superstar, Titanic (Theatre Royal Windsor), Anything Goes (Dorking Halls), Les Miserables (The Stag Theatre)

I have also worked as a bandleader and keyboard player for cruise ships Azura, Ventura (both P&O Cruises UK), Emerald Princess (Princess Cruises) and Fathom Adonia. He has also worked with numerous vocalists and personalities across the TV, pop and musical theatre industry, including vocalists from talent shows BBC1's 'The Voice' and 'Let It Shine', The X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, TV personalities from ITV1's 'The Chase', The Basil Brush Show, GMTV and RuPaul's Drag Race, and leading performers from West End shows including Dreamgirls, Wicked, The Book Of Mormon and Beautiful.

I teach everyone, young and old, beginners to advanced. Lessons for serious learners, casual learners, people working towards grades, people working towards no grades! Classical, jazz, contemporary... whatever interests you. And anywhere in between... I adapt to the individual as I'm quite aware different learning styles benefit different people.
