Notes:

I am a private clarinet tutor from Carmarthen, now based in the Gabalfa/Maindy area of Cardiff.

I have graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a BMus (Hons.) in Clarinet Performance, and am currently still at the College studying for a MMus in Performance. I studied the clarinet under the guidance of Nicholas Carpenter, Lenny Sayers, John Cooper and Meyrick Alexander.

Knowing that students understand my advice and tuition is of utmost importance to me; I personalise my teaching methods to suit each individual's needs while also giving them the freedom to pursue whatever avenue of clarinet playing they wish.

During lessons with me, beginners can expect to learn the fundamentals of playing the clarinet and simple fun exercises to help improve their standard. Advanced players can expect more focused tuition on improving areas such as tone quality, articulation, technical comprehension and musical understanding - and of course, help with current repertoire.

My method of teaching applies to musicians of all ages and levels, and for any aspirations my students have. Whether you want to work towards ABRSM exams and beyond, perform in competitions, or just play for fun, I'm certain I can help!

As a fluent Welsh speaker, I am more than happy to offer lessons in either Welsh or English. Let me know when you contact me if you would like lessons in Welsh!

I also hold a current Enhanced DBS Check.
