Originally from Yorkshire, Andrew studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under the tuition of Christopher Hoyle. Andrew made his concerto debut at the age of 17 playing Haydn's C Major cello concerto with the Harrogate Philharmonic Orchestra.

Andrew was a member of the RNCM Symphony Orchestra where for two out of the four years he was there he was the Principal cellist, culminating in a memorable concert in the Bridgewater Hall under the baton of Yan Pascal Tortelier in 2012.

Andrew has been involved in masterclasses with cellists such as Natalie Klein, Gary Hoffman, Ralph Kirshbaum and Karine Georgian.

A keen chamber musician, Andrew is in great demand as he has a strong reputation for being an excellent sight reader and a sensitive and reliable cellist.

He has toured all over Europe with various orchestras and chamber ensembles.

As a Bass Guitarist, Andrew has played in shows in Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Bridlington and Harrogate covering musicals from 'Carousel' to 'Beauty and the Beast'.
