Whilst studying for a BA(Hons) degree in Music and Spanish, he continued his piano studies with Marlene Fleet at the University of Leicester and Michael Bell at Keele University. He studied Spanish further at the Universidad de Nebrija, Madrid. After graduating in 2005, Nikki was awarded a place at the Birmingham Conservatoire where he is currently working with Head of Keyboard Studies Professor Malcolm Wilson and the Assistant Head John Humphreys. He is a recitalist, accompanist and concerto soloist, and also performs regularly in Conservatoire master classes. In autumn 2007, Nikki was asked to accompany for the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.
