• A graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Music (RAM), I am a qualified singing teacher with a wide range of teaching and performing experience, both within the UK and internationally. At RAM, I studied the Estill Voice Model under highly acclaimed teachers Ann-Marie Speed and Sam Kenyon, and trained in singing and performance technique under the tutelage of Daniel Bowling and James Spilling. I also attended masterclasses with leading industry practitioners, including Mary Hammond, Clare Burt, Claude-Michel Schonberg, and Hadley Fraser. I have led and co-led workshops in London, Oxford, Milan, San Diego, and Los Angeles, covering a wide range of material, and working with varying class sizes, from one-to-one private tuition to groups as large as 60 students.

• My aim is always to help students achieve their desired goal, and ultimately empower them to be independent of me. My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the student or group, and cover all aspects of singing, from technique, to performance skills, to audition repertoire. I enjoy making complex information about the voice accessible to students, and providing appropriate exercises that work for each individual. Above all, I am a strong believer that learning should be fun and encouraging.

• A discussion on what the student aims to achieve at the end of a given period and at the end of a lesson.

• Technical work and vocal exercises to develop the singing voice as appropriate, which may include breathing, posture, pitch, range, diction amongst others.

• Performance work to enhance the delivery of a song as appropriate, which may include intention, emotion, physicality amongst others.

• Audition repertoire suggestions as appropriate.

• Recommendation of exercises and practice for the student to work on independently in preparation for the next lesson.

• A clear record on my side of the student’s short and long term progress based on a detailed observation of the student.

• Lots of encouragement and well-thought-out teaching from a teacher who genuinely cares about your development.

• I teach from my home in London, near Manor House underground station. Alternatively, I can travel to your location for an increased fee of £40/hour if your location is less than 20 minutes travel from my location, and your location is conducive for the lesson (has a piano/keyboard), subject to our agreement.

Please feel most welcome to get in touch if you have any other questions. Please feel free to send me an email at [email protected] . I look forward to hearing from you, and achieving your singing goals together.
