Notes:
I am a piano teacher and accompanist based in Congleton, Cheshire. I started playing piano when I was 11, alongside other instruments including the Cello and Chinese stringed instrument, Guzheng.
I hold several piano diplomas including DipLCM in performance and ALCM in piano accompaniment. I am also preparing to take my Grade 8 in music theory in November 2019. I am an experienced piano accompanist for music exams up to diploma level, having accompanied instruments like violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarient and flute.
I studied piano and cello privately while in Singapore and was also an active member of my local orchestra and church, where I played the piano and cello. I have participated in several concerts and competitions as part of an ensemble, and also co-organised a basic theory workshop in 2014.
My other musical interests include musicology, extended piano technique and special needs pedagogy.
My music lessons are tailored to each student. With a unique understanding of special needs in children and adults, my teaching is focused on efficient practice methods and a comprehensive understanding of the music played. I believe that music education should be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and aims to provide an enjoyable and holistic learning environment.
All lessons and accompaniment sessions will be held in either your home or chosen venue.
