I began my journey in music with violin at the age of 6 and started piano two years later. At 10 I was accepted at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying violin and piano with Erika Klemperer and Chenyin Li, as joint first study. I achieved a high distinction in ABRSM grade 8 violin at the age of 13 and was a prize winner in North London Festival, Jaques Samuel Piano Junior Festival and Suffolk Festival of Performing Arts on Piano.
After deciding to pursue music as a career, I auditioned and was offered a place at the world-renowned Chetham's School of Music
Here, I gained 3 A*s in Further Maths and Music A levels while still studying both violin and piano with Benedict Holland and Jonathan Middleton. During my time at Chet's, I was a member of Chethamís Symphony Orchestra with which I performed at the Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Royal Northern College of Music and Milton Court Concert Hall and I also won 2nd prize at the Chethamís Yamaha piano competition.
After this, I was awarded a scholarship to study at Trinity Laban conservatoire, with Mayumi Fujikawa and Hilary Coates, where I won the John Longmire (Beethoven) competition and was a finalist in the Alfred Kitchin compeition. During my time there I also won the Emanuel Trophy piano competition, London and 1st prize at the Cleveland Institute of Music International Academy Piano Competition.
Currently I am completing my undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music, focusing on piano and studying with Jianing Kong
I have also been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with renowned performers and pedagogues such as Christopher Elton, Dmitri Alexeev, Hae-Sun Paik, Leslie Howard, Craig Sheppard and Victor Rosenbaum.
