Education history: I achieved Violin Grades 1-8 at a young age, then went on to study Music at Bath Spa University for 3 years. There I became the Lead Violinist of Bath Spa University Orchestra.

In my performing career I have performed in many iconic venues such as The Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, London. I studied with the British Suzuki Institute of Violin for 14 years and have now been playing violin for a total of 21 years and teaching for 9 years. My teaching is influenced by the Suzuki method which has a strong focus on technique.

I teach privately within schools, I teach whole class violin lessons in a number of schools, I teach at orchestra's within schools and also teach privately at home and at Gloucestershire Academy of Music on Saturdays.

From time to time I perform as a freelance musician. My most recent work was playing with the Bee Barake Band and gigging around London. Youtube: Bee bakare - Curse ('Live').

I often attend teacher training days to ensure my teaching is fresh and up-to-date. I annually attend the National Youth Orchestra's Continued Professional Development days for teachers and my most recent training was the 5-week "Becoming a Better music Teacher Course" by The Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music (completed 24/7/19).

I have a passion for teaching pupils violin, and find great reward and satisfaction in helping others reach their full musical potential.

I have experience teaching pupils with a range of specific learning difficulties including: ADHD, global delay, dyslexia, hyper mobility, dyspraxia, sensory processing and autism. I am also experienced in arranging special access arrangements for exam entry to ensure all pupils are on an equal playing field.
