Notes:

I have been teaching the flute for over twenty years, in both state and private schools, and also at home. I have taught a large range of ages (currently my youngest student is 7 and my eldest is 70) and have taught beginners through to advanced levels; where appropriate I have supported and encouraged students in their exams, and I have accompanied my students up to grade 8 level. Music making is always at the centre of my teaching alongside establishing a solid technical grounding. As well as teaching I play in several Birmingham orchestras and a flute quartet.
