Notes:
After many years teaching both privately and in Further Education the goal was to offer this service to many more guitarists. Whether you are the spandex clad metal fans or the bearded folkies there’s a place for everyone here. Influences include John Martyn, Jackson C Frank, Richard Thompson, Jimi Hendrix , Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, B.B King, Bert Jansch, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Peter Green, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt and Frank Zappa.
At guitar 121 we aim to cater to each individual. Unlike many guitar tuition services we don’t rely on standard books that anyone can buy themselves. We get to know the student, their strengths / abilities and what they wish to achieve with their playing. Each student is offered a personalised learning plan, working at their own pace and to their own goals. We often suggest other artists for students to listen to, or reading material that might inspire creativity.
If you feel that you’re in a rut with your playing or maybe just starting out and need some help, get in touch, the first step is admitting you have a problem!
