Music teacher, available to teach in Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

In conjunction with my love of history, I have been passionate about classical music from a young age; I began lessons on the Piano at age six and began composing soon after.

Since taking up the violin quite late at the age of fourteen, I progressed quickly and attained ABRSM grade 8 with distinction after two and a half years of playing, finding my forte with the violin as my main performing instrument.

I played in the Cornwall Youth Orchestra before going to study at Royal Holloway, whose orchestra I've toured Europe with and collaborated with the London Mozart Players. At university I was taught by prominent London violinist Francesca Barritt.

I have so far had a varied experience in differing styles of teaching, from helping my teacher run a children's string ensemble to teaching individual lessons.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have experienced the music of the great composers and I want to do what I can to make it as widely accessible as possible - I believe that music should be explained (especially for children) clearly and made as easy to understand as possible - most importantly, it should be fun and exciting, and I hope that through music, others can experience the same wonderful time periods and places that music embodies.
