Biography

As a qualified Music Leader, I have worked in a range of roles from Choir Director to solo singer. I greatly enjoy working with schools and colleges, in community music projects and therapeutic areas, and am truly in my element when facilitating lessons, workshops and performing live. I am energetic, innovative, and passionate about sharing music to empower participants to progress, and believe it is essential to acknowledge their achievement. Highly motivated with excellent organisational and planning skills, I am adept at leading people and projects to achieve agreed objectives. I am inspired by the potential of creative arts, especially music, to engage people and transform lives. Excellent at identifying and creating the appropriate resources required for a lesson/workshop. I have a current clear enhanced DBS certificate.

Amazing singer, performer and outstanding choir director, with lots of experience. Joanne Millerís voice is described as soulful and warm; her passionate performance has inspired many audiences. Joanne looks for opportunities to grow and move forward in every single way; and to her credit loves doing the same for people she trains. Joanne started her career as a member of Croydon SDA Church, led by international choral composer and conductor Ken Burton, participating in televised programmes such as Songs of Praise, Eastenders, and Choir of the Year competition. Under his mentorship, Joanne went on to develop Croydon Youth Choir as well as other community music programmes. Joanne recently created the first singing programme for Crisis, the national charity for people who are homeless. Joanne also leads a Singology Choir (CEO Mark Delisser - The Voice, Gareth Malone's The Choir), and her own Soul Symphony Choir.
