Notes:
I am a London-based composer and orchestrator who has written music ranging from orchestral pieces to short operas. As a performer I am an alumnus of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland with whom I was principal trumpet. I first began teaching trumpet many years ago and since then I have begun looking to teach composition and theory in addition to this. Most recently I assisted the composer Matthew King, teaching composition to GCSE students as part of Canterbury Music Lab, organised by Kent Music and hosted by the University of Kent. I teach at my home in Morden, but I am also willing to travel within a two mile radius to give lessons. I am a friendly and very supportive teacher who aims to inspire his students by sharing a love of music with them.
