Notes:

Having studied Suzuki violin from the age of 4 (Nicola Benedetti and Tasmin Little were Suzuki trained), before continuing to obtain my grades, diploma and degree, I have a very broad teaching technique and combine a mixture of both traditional and Suzuki methods when teaching my students. I have now taught the violin and viola for 6 years to students from 4 to 63 years old. I teach to a high level, sometimes by completing grade exams and always for fun! There is much emphasis on technique and use of classical and popular pieces of music to work on and enjoy. (If you have some particular music in mind that you would like to learn I will try my best to sort it out and teach you the necessary techniques to play it whatever it is!)

Music theory is always useful for musicians. I cover the entire syllabus to Grade 8.

I play professionally in a quartet and am very happy to organise music groups and advise.
