GCSE Music at A*
Instruments: Clarinet
Music Theory
Genre/Style(s): Classical
Ability Levels: Beginners to Intermediate

As a musician for over 10 years, I am passionate about bringing an interesting and exciting learning environment to students, through passing down techniques and advice i have learnt over my years playing Clarinet and Saxophone. I have completed grades on the Clarinet and am in the process of formally qualifying myself on Saxophone. I can teach at levels ranging from beginner to advancing players, and I currently study under Clarinet teacher Samuel Becker and Saxophone teacher Sam Bullard.

I currently attend St Olaves Grammar school in Orpington, and am in lower sixth. I plan to study Music at university, focussing on Clarinet as a first study instrument but also Saxophone. I have played in a number of bands and ensembles, alongside prestigious groups the National Youth Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra, but also regularly attend the Bromley Music Bands and Lewisham Concert Band, as well as numerous other small bands and school bands. This gives me plenty of experience as an ensemble performer, which is my speciality. However, I do also study solo repertoire and perform at school events. I particularly enjoy playing Jazz, and also have an interest in the music of Eastern European and Russian composers such as Bartok and Stravinsky.

I endeavour to push students to maximise their potential, even from an early stage, and tailor each lesson to their interests and needs. Whether this be working towards grades, other performances or simply the enjoyment of music and and the need of new inspiration, I am happy to guide each student to their musical goals.

I am based in Greenwich, but am happy to travel locally to Lewisham, Bromley or Southwark, and further afield if convenient.

I look forward to hearing from you!
