Hi, I am Valerio, a 30 years old guy from Italy. I have been living in the UK for 6 years studying and working as a software developer and pianist/composer.
I am sociable, friendly, and very enthusiastic about music.

I received a diploma in Piano Performance in Italy with a score of 10/10 with honours in 2008, which roughly corresponds to a LRSM diploma in the UK.
I have been performing in Italy and more recently in the UK in solo and chamber concerts. I won several piano competitions in Italy, in solo and 4 hands.
I love, play, and teach classical music. If you think that's not a lot, think that the word encompasses 400 years of music! You can find so many different styles there that it will last a lifetime :)
Having said that, I am comfortable in teaching any style that will make my students willing to learn this beautiful instrument!

I am also very experienced in musical composition, as I am a composer myself. I love to understand why the famous masterpieces in classical music sound the way they do, and I am always happy to teach this skill, which comes with an understanding of the fascinating topic that is music theory.

You can find plenty of piano teachers online, but most of them can only play the most basic tunes, and wouldn't dream of approaching a Beethoven Sonata or a Chopin Ballade. If you want to master this difficult instrument, you don't only need a piano teacher, but a pianist teacher.

You can find some of my videos on my youtube channel:

I upload videos of myself playing on a daily basis on my instagram account:

I am absolutely happy to teach pupils of any level, kids and adults. I am serious about teaching, but I know that the piano can be a very frustrating instrument to master, and thus I know how making the lesson pleasurable is important.

I always start by asking the student what pieces does he/she like, or what genre does he/she wants to play. Based on that, we either tackle the piece straight away (if I deem the student capable of doing it) or set up a schedule about how to reach the required level.
This will set up a long-term goal, and in the meantime, we will build the necessary skills for reaching it and play many more pieces.

I will also provide the necessary theoretical knowledge for fully appreciate the music and hope to convey to the pupils my deep love and respect for classical music.

Lessons are 1 hour long (30 pounds). Advanced pupils may require a longer time, which can be agreed in advance.
-FIRST LESSON FREE (20/30 mins) so we can know each other and set up a plan :)

Unfortunately I cannot take lessons at my house at the moment, but I am willing to travel locally in Bristol.
I live in the Clifton Down Area.
