Notes:
The skills I teach include good technique, reading and writing drum and tuned notation and playing in numerous different styles. All of these vital skills can be transferred from the drum kit to a djembé, conga or kitchen table.
If you can hit it, scrape it or shake it, it becomes a percussion instrument!
Since I had my first drum lesson, at 10 years old, I've never stopped learning and I aspire to pass my knowledge on to others, whether you're an absolute beginner, or just want to grow as a player and add another string to your bow.
I offer a fun learning environment, through one-to-one tuition, to help any student pass grade exams, master a new style and/or become confident enough to play in a band or group.
I prefer to teach from my home in Whitley Bay but I can travel to you, though I may have to charge a little extra to cover fuel and time, depending on your location. I also offer discounts on block bookings, payment up front.
