Following tuition at Musica Kirklees in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Rebecca received a scholarship to study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Rebecca studied with Head of Strings Dr. Louise Lansdown, Head of Chamber Music Robin Ireland and Lucy Nolan of the Eblana String Trio. In July 2017 she received a Bachelor of Music with Honours (First Class). Rebecca remained at the Conservatoire for a further year to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Performance. She will continue her studies this year on the Master's course at the Royal Northern College of Music, with the kind support of the William and Frances Dobie Charitable Foundation.

A passionate orchestral player, Rebecca has performed in multiple orchestral projects, including the Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, and the CBSO Youth orchestra, of which she was principal violist. Additionally, she has trained with professional orchestras, achieving a place on the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Training Scheme, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra Foyle Future Firsts Development Programme. She is an extra player for the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rebecca has taught extensively as a private violin and viola tutor. During her undergraduate degree she studied the major schools of Pedagogy, including Suzuki, Colourstrings, Dalcroze, Kodály and Alexander Technique. She was an Upper Strings Tutor for Sandwell Music and Arts Service, teaching one-to-one lessons in schools around West Bromwich, coaching young string ensembles and conducting the Mini Maestros junior string orchestra. She has also led workshops in SEN schools and care homes with her string quartet. She currently teaches violin and viola at Hanson Community Arts.
