I have a varied artistic career as an opera singer.

In opera, I have worked worked with conductors Paul McCreesh and João Paulo Santos, directors Figueira Cid and Fernanda Lapa, and sung alongside singers such as Michael Chance and Gilles Ragon. I have toured Portugal and performed with ENOA (European Network of Opera Academies) the following roles: Rita (Rita Donizetti), Clarice (Il Mondo della Luna Haydn), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro Mozart), Susanna (Il segreto di Susanna Wolf-Ferrari), Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne Mozart), among others.

I sing regularly in recitals and am a great enthusiast of contemporary music, with highlights for a concert with new works composed for my voice, under the baton of Magnus Lindberg at the Gulbenkian Foundation. I have sung at Oxford Lieder Festival, Song in the City Concert Series, Barbican Hall, Barbican Pit, Arcola Theatre, Tête-à-tête Festival, Sadler’s Wells, London Coliseum, British Museum, Millennium Centre, BBC Radio 3’s In Tune Programme and Antena 2.

In oratorio, I recently made my Gulbenkian Foundation début in the role of Solomon’s Queen in Handel’s Solomon, singing opposite Iestyn Davies. I have also been a soloist in works by Marcos de Portugal, Rossini, Schubert, Rutter and Orff.

I have recorded for the Sonus Music Label the CD Alma Ibérica – a new release of Portuguese and Spanish songs from the 20th century with pianist Daniel Godinho. This project was kindly supported by the Foundation Gestão dos Direitos dos Artistas.

Next engagements Judith in Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle for Contemporaneus Association and the lead part in Jamie Man’s new opera Play, commissioned by the Gulbenkian Foundation and composed for my voice.
