Born in 1988 in Pembrokeshire, Wales, I studied with the legendary Welsh guitarist John Rodge. In 2007 I began my undergraduate studies at the University of Salford and specialised in guitar performance and composition Following this, I went to Merton College at the University of Oxford to study for a masters degree in composition under Robert Saxton and on the side with the late Steve Martland. Having been award a full AHRC Doctoral Studentship I moved college to Christ Church to study for my D.Phil which I finished in 2016. I took a year out of Oxford to study composition with Hans Abrahamsen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music too.

My music has been performed internationally including a premiere by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, opening the Pulsar Festival in Copenhagen with the Athelas Sinfonietta, and setting a text by Sir Geoffrey Hill for Orkest de Ereprijs in the Netherlands.

Alongside my classical music I work as an arranger and music supervisor for recording sessions, pop bands, films, and other projects. Iíve worked on projects such as the Grammy Award Winning Clean Bandit with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios for a Burberry advert, and smaller things with the Mercury Prize nominated East India Youth, Jane Weaver, Wildes, and Active Child. Did a thing for Snow Patrol once but I donít think they used it. In between all this, I am an editor of baroque/classical opera for various publishers and teach composition and music analysis at a number of Oxford University colleges.
