Notes:

I am experienced in many genres of music. I specialise in Orchestral double bass, however I am also highly skilled in electric bass guitar and piano.
I studied with Iain Crawford, Principal of the BBC Scottish Symphony (SSO) in my undergraduate, then went on to study with Timothy Cobb, Principal bass of the New York Philharmonic. I have also played in a variety of Masterclasses to players such as Joel Quarrington, Thomas Martin, Rinat Ibragimov and Ed Barker. I am currently Co-Principal of Southbank Sinfonia, an orchestral fellowship based in London. I have also played with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Opera, RSNO and I am the Principal Bass of the Glasgow New Music Expedition. I also play folk music and Jazz. It is a fantastic instrument to learn and is so versatile.
I am mainly self taught in electric bass guitar, I did however study with Mario Caribé for a year. I have played bass guitar since I was 8 for almost 20 years. I play have played a range of various genres such as punk rock, metal, funk, motown, soul, rock and roll, and jazz.

Piano was my first instrument and during my time at Stevenson College studying my HND, I achieved distinction in Grade 8 piano through the ABRSM. Piano is an essential instrument for any musician to play.

In my lessons both practical and theory will be taught, as the understanding in both how and why are equally important.

I am able to travel to pupils house to give lessons.
