Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Notes:

Babak is a highly skilled conductor, composer and pianist. He started to learn piano at the age of 6 and have studied with many renowned pianist teachers including Delbar Hakim Ava, Richard Leigh Harris (Birmigham Conservatoire), and Niel Immelman (Royal College of Music).
He started his higher education at Royal Conservatoire of Birmingham in composition and conducting, among his tutors are Dr Joe Cutler and Dr Liz Johnson and Dr Jonathan Cole (RCM). Babak has studied conducting with many renowned conductors such as Maestro Michael Seal (Associate Conductor of CBSO) and Maestro Dejan Savic (Music Director of National Theatre of Belgrade.

Since 2014 Babak is serving as Music Director of Light of Music Symphony Orchestra. As guest conductor, he has worked with various professional orchestras throughout Europe. He also have been engaged in many opera production as pianist and conductor.

Babak has more than ten years of experience in teaching music and unlike many other teachers with little or no performance experience in their field, he has performed in many prestigious concert hall and theatres.
As conductor of Light of Music, he provides the unique opportunity of performance with the ensemble, for students who show talent and persistence.
