Rory - The Bass Guitar Guru Who Took My Confidence to New Heights! I had the privilege of being tutored by Rory, and I cannot praise him enough for the transformative impact he has had on my bass guitar skills and, more importantly, my self-confidence. Rory's dedication, expertise, and passion for music have been evident throughout our journey together, and thanks to him, I was able to join a band and play a 15-set gig in a pub - an experience that I will cherish forever. From the very first lesson, it was clear that Rory was not just a bass guitar instructor but also a true mentor. He possesses a unique ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his students, tailoring his lessons to suit their individual needs. With patience and encouragement, he guided me through the fundamentals of bass guitar playing, ensuring that I had a solid foundation to build upon. One of Rory's standout qualities is his extensive knowledge of music theory and its practical application. He made learning complex concepts seem effortless, breaking them down into digestible bits that were easy to comprehend. His teaching style strikes the perfect balance between theory and practicality, making each lesson engaging and meaningful. Beyond his exceptional technical prowess, Rory has a profound understanding of music as an art form and a means of expression. He constantly emphasized the importance of creativity and encouraged me to explore various playing styles and genres. As a result, I grew not only as a bass player but also as a musician with a unique voice. Perhaps the most significant contribution Rory made to my musical journey was instilling an unshakable belief in my abilities. He fostered an atmosphere of positivity and support in every lesson, consistently pushing me out of my comfort zone to reach new heights. Rory's unwavering faith in my potential motivated me to practice diligently and gave me the courage to audition for a local band. Thanks to Rory's guidance, I successfully joined a band that shared my musical interests. The experience of performing a 15-set gig in a pub was nerve-wracking, to say the least, but I felt more prepared than I ever thought possible. Rory's emphasis on stage presence and performance techniques was invaluable during this time. His advice on connecting with the audience and maintaining confidence on stage proved to be indispensable. During the gig, I realized just how much I had grown under Rory's tutelage. Playing with my newfound bandmates was an exhilarating experience, and the positive feedback we received from the audience was beyond gratifying. None of this would have been possible without Rory's support and guidance. In conclusion, Rory is an exceptional bass guitar tutor and a true inspiration. His expertise, passion, and dedication to his students make him an invaluable asset to anyone seeking to improve their bass playing skills and overall musicality. He has not only equipped me with the technical know-how to play the bass but also bolstered my confidence to pursue my musical aspirations fearlessly. I wholeheartedly recommend Rory to any aspiring bass player, as his mentorship will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on their musical journey, just as it did on mine.

Rory is a mild-mannered music man. He is considerate and empathetic and not usually in a rush to escape when the lesson is coming to an end. He keeps notes of progress and items covered and progresses his teaching at your level and pace. He shares learning materials teaches the theory (and some tips and hacks) making the experience entirely stress free. I would recommend his method and manner to anyone. Top guy.
