Stelios Arodites

was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1990. His passion for music was obvious at a very young age, even though he does not come from a family with a musical background. He started playing the piano at the age of five and continued until the age of thirteen. After that he started studying the electric keyboard until he completed the Autorgan system, at the age of 15. He then decided to start playing the saxophone, which became his main instrument and studied with Sotiris Georgiadis.

Stelios, as a teenager was a member of the Young Symphonic Orchestra of Cyprus. Simultaneously he was attending the first afternoon Music Lyceum in Cyprus, alongside with his morning school – Apostolos Varnavas Lyceum, and was among the first ten graduates. After graduating school he joined the army and became a member of S.M.E.F, which is the army’s musical department. He also successfully auditioned for the National Symphonic Orchestra and became a permanent member of it while in Cyprus.

Stelios has graduated from London College of Music in 2014 where studied Music Performance/Saxophone BMus (Hons) with Nathan Hassall and he played at big band, sax quartet, and camerata of London College of Music.

Stelios continuous as postgraduate performance student at Newcastle University were doing MMus (Hons) degree.
