I have been singing professionally for the last 15 years both as a soloist and fronting duos and bands, performing a huge range of contemporary musical styles, across the country and abroad. I am a mum to 7 year old twins and teach singing and performance techniques from the idyllic setting of our farm on the Norfolk/Cambs border.
I have only recently begun teaching, however, I am thrilled to be able to pass on my wealth of performance and recording experience to others.
Only a tiny percentage of people are actually tone-deaf, but its a phrase used all too often when people think they just can't sing!! For the most part its actually down to nerves, as well as a lack of understanding of how to pitch and how to breathe effectively, among other things! I firmly believe everyone should sing, its just good for your soul and can be an excellent way of releasing stress!
My approach to teaching is gentle, creating a safe space for my students so I can help even the most nervous person experience their 'best voice'.
My teaching style is focused on making sessions fun, always tailoring each session to the individual with the aim of improving vocal quality and confidence and giving my students the skills necessary to perform at the highest standard too.
