Camilo Ochoa is a multifaceted musician native of Colombia South America whose heart and passion is to give, develop and enrich people´s lives through the art of music.<br />
As a trumpeter, percussionist, pianist and bilingual (Spanish/English) vocalist with multicultural ministerial and secular experience Camilo´s calling is to equip those who want to learn the art of music. His objective is to work and serve through teaching, performing, recording, and training others developing their talents and helping them reach their purpose for their lives. <br />
Camilo began his career as a musician at the early age of 4. Proceeding from a family of musicians, he started under the tutelage of his father, Luis Carlos Ochoa, renamed musician and leader of his natal city Cali-Colombia, South America. When he was 7 years old, he and his older sister and his younger brother, started studying at the Conservatory Antonio Maria Valencia in his home town. <br />
In 1988 he began having trumpet lesson with Miguel Ortiz, and Juan Camison famous trumpeters from his city advised by his father; instrument that later on in his life became his passion. <br />
At the age of 13, in 1991, his father decided to ensemble with his older sister and his younger brother along with some of his friends from the conservatory, a little music band which would become one of his highlights in his music career. La charanguita de Luis Carlos, named after his father, was the first children orquesta of South America to perform the complex rhythms of salsa music and Latin American music, mixed with afro Cuban jazz. <br />
With this band, Camilo travelled many countries around the world, experience that would widen his musical taste and skills.<br />
In 1997, after a rough path in his life, Camilo had a truly encounter with God who will change the way he would perceive everything in his life, he received Jesus Christ as his saviour and Lord .<br />
1998, he left his household and travelled to U.S.A. looking for better opportunities to up skill his God´s given talents. He was given a full ride to go to Truett McConnel College in Cleveland Georgia where he obtained his Bachelorís degree in Music performance.<br />
In 2004 he married his girlfriend Mariela from Argentina and after living 10 years in the United States, he moved with his pregnant wife to Argentina where his daughter Zoe was born.<br />
There in Argentina, he received trumpet lessons with the renowned jazz trumpet player, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, after some time living there, Camilo teamed up with some of his best friends and also great musicians and was part of two of his favourite bands which are Kika a Brazil jazz band and Snifi Fondue a band of young and very talented musicians who specialized in funk music. <br />
Due to the financial economical crisis in Argentina, he was led to migrate to England where some of his wife family members lived and in 2012 has settle here in Manchester where he intends to keep pursuing his dreams and look after his family.
