Rob Slater is a talented musician who can play several instruments including piano/keyboard, vocals, guitar, bass guitar and drums. In 2010 he completed his BA HONS Degree in Music Performance for which he achieved a 2:1 at The Millennium Institute in Perth, Scotland. Rob has been performing music for many years all over the North of England and Scotland in original bands, function bands and has also played in several musicals including Grease, Bugsy Malone and The Phantom of the Opera. With a passion for musical theatre one of his most recent projects which he wrote, directed and also performed in was an original production of ‘Rocky the Musical’. Rob is now a choir leader for Rock Choir, the UKs largest contemporary choir as well as being a very busy performer and having a massive passion for music composition.

Rob has been an instrumental instructor for many years covering all different abilities and ages. He started working as an instructor whilst studying for his BA (Hons) in Perth, Scotland for Grey Row Studios in 2008. Since moving back to the North East of England Rob still teachers Piano and other instruments on a weekly basis and is part of the Musicians Union and fully CRB checked. Rob makes learning an instrument fun and always tries to teach songs and music the learner is interested in whilst also developing a good knowledge of theory, scales, chords and the instrument itself. Rob is willing to travel to Pupils’ own homes in the local area or teach from his very own music room.
