Alex Western-King is a saxophonist based in London working as a visiting teacher in Winchester. He has a four year First Class Degree in Jazz from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Alex can teach tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, clarinet and flute to students of all ages and abilities. He has four years of teaching experience; for the last two years he has been teaching for the DaCapo Music Foundation where he has received extensive training in the Kodaly teaching method. Alex also has experience teaching at a more advanced level, having recently tutored an undergraduate at Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

Alex performs frequently throughout the country, recently performing at Ronnie Scottís Jazz Club, The Shard, Buckingham Palace, Etihad Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall.

Alex is happy to discuss the studentís needs to tailor each lesson to the individual student. Lessons will be either 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.

Alex has an up to date enhanced DBS Certificate.
