Notes:
I’m Steve Law BA, MMus, a new piano teacher to the area of East Sussex near Tunbridge Wells.
I’m experienced and DBS checked and also a professional pianist and composer.
Unlike most piano teachers I use easy and fun ways to explain to children. I get most pupils playing their favourite tunes in a short time alongside a structured course reading music in both hands. I hold pupils’ concerts to encourage pupils to perform and gain confidence in sharing their music.
I’ve coached many pupils to success at ABRSM and Trinity exams up to Grade 8 and teaching diploma, Electronic Keyboard, music theory and GSCE. Whether you want to learn for fun or take exams, I teach all standards and styles and from classical to pop and jazz.
If you have an artistic child and would like to arrange a FREE BEGINNER’S TRIAL LESSON take a look at my Facebook page http://facebook.com/stevelawpianoteacher or my website stevelawcomposer/teaching.com.
I've been active as a concert pianist, accompanied singers and worked as an accompanist for ballet and exams at private schools. I'm also a composer and a published arranged of Dudley Moore's music with Faber. I co-founded the Harrow Summer Music Festival and have been involved in performing and organising these concerts.
I can teach at your home or by webcam. My away teaching fee is based on a sliding scale according to distance from Wadhurst.
