Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

I have been playing guitar for almost 50 years and classical for more than 30. I took up teaching several years ago and was appointed as Your Guitar Academy's first classical tutor in Brighton and Hove soon after moving to the area, summer 2019. For more information, visit Or call 01273 385 210.

As a YGA teacher, I am able to offer a no obligation £10 trial lesson. For information about fees, please contact Your Guitar Academy at the web address above.

I can teach children and adult students of all ages and stages. Beginners will learn the guitar basics and soon discover an inspiring new musical world. I am equally at home tutoring experienced and accomplished steel-stringers who may want to expand their knowledge. Many are surprised at the incredible variety and huge range of pieces available to them, often drawn from other musical genres like jazz, blues and folk.

I am currently studying for the ARSM Performance Diploma and the Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators. Through the CME course I have successfully completed the Educare Child Protection in Education course. I have DRB certification updated August 2019.
