About Simon

Through inspiring and dynamic lessons Simon offers student-centered, interactive and personalised teaching, with a recent enhanced DBS disclosure. Simon teaches piano, organ, theory, composition, and preparation for ear-tests. If you are preparing for exams or festivals, or simply wish to expand your repertoire or technique, then you’ve come to the right place! As well as developing your musical skills, Simon is also an experienced collaborative pianist and répétiteur, happy to work on concert programmes or competitions. Simon Dunbavand MA (Cantab), MMus, ARCO, ARCM graduated in music from Cambridge University, where he was Organ Scholar of Peterhouse, and recently held the Charles Bryars Scholarship at The University of Sheffield. He is also an Associate of the Royal College of Organists, and an Associate of the Royal College of Music. Simon originally studied piano with Martin Roscoe and organ with Roger Fisher, and as well as being active as a performer, is a choral and orchestral conductor, composer, and researcher.
