I am a flautist with 25 years teaching experience, privately and in schools, one to one and groups as well as leading/coaching ensembles. My students are all ages, and receive individualised tuition and guidance according to their needs and preferences, whether playing for fun or working towards exams or performances.

I teach both in school settings and privately in my flute studio in Wakefield 1-1 and online.

I perform freelance in chamber and project-based orchestras/bands. I also perform regularly as a founder member of the Sospiri Wind Quintet. Principal flute Yorkshire Wind Orchestra and the Airedale Symphony Orchestra (dep principal flute).

My teaching style is open, friendly, fun and disciplined - my aim is to help flautists relax, enjoy their playing and be supported by their lessons to achieve what they want.

Please do get in touch if you're interested in learning the instrument or want to continue your studies with a fresh approach. I look forward to hearing from you!
