I work around Greater London as teacher of guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, keyboard, music technology, music curriculum and composition. Since 2014 I have worked with the Triborough Music Hub, and am currently teaching in six schools in West London; my DBS is dated 2017. For the last 10 years I have been developing my own private base of adult students, teaching guitar, composition, curriculum and music technology: I am registered with several teaching agencies, including West London Music tutors, First Tutors and UK Tutors.

Alongside teaching work I perform at hotels, bars and parties around London in association with a number of performance agencies: working with three singers in a duo format. I hold residencies at Trader Vicís in the Hilton Park Lane, the York and Albany Gastropub, The Kew Gardens Hotel and others. I also have worked as a session musician, recording at Metropolis studios, Chapel Studios, Premises studios and others.

I am a PhD candidate, having passed in May of this year; I am enrolled in the Philosophy Department at Durham University but have a background in musicology, composition and performance. I was awarded a Bachelor of Music Honours degree in Computer Sound Design from the University of Surrey in 2008. My Masters of Music degree was awarded by the University of Surrey in 2008/9, with the two major modules being in musicology and composition. I won a Studentship grant for the PhD course. In 2014, I transferred to the Philosophy Department at Durham University. I have extensive experience of lecturing and leading seminars at Durham and Surrey University: currently I am on the organising committee for the British Society of Aesthetics Annual Postgraduate Conference, where I will also give a paper.
