I am an experienced teacher of music to all ages and abilities, from primary age to students of all levels & adult learners.

I am happy to take you through Grade exams if required, but equally happy to spend time adapting lessons to your needs and introducing you to one of the most evocative instruments in the world!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been teaching music since 1996 where I gained a classical training with the ‘Cello, and took a second study in composition, i also am a trained music leader through Community Music LTD, and am trained in safe guarding, equal opportunities and adpating lessons and teaching styles to different learners.

I embrace as many disciplines, styles, genres and appraoches to playing music as I can, from Classical, Jazz, Improvisation, Folk, hip-hop, rock, pop, avant-garde, games and approaches to performance.
My aim as a teacher is for learners to find out what it means to be a ‘good musician’, which is as much about learning to listen, understand technique, first principles of 'Cello playing, and a practical-hands on understanding rhythm and harmony. I have experience teaching musicianship, singing improvisation, composition skills, and the 'Cello with people of all ages from nursery, all primary year groups, teenagers, and the elderly.
